First Day Card
We're counting down the days until the Summer Mini-Catalog and its products are gone! Eight more days to get it before it's hasta la vista, baby!!
Today's project is made with the "First Day" stamp set. I originally purchased this set for scrapbooking - it's perfect for all of those, you guessed it, first days of school. But after I ran across a couple of adorable cards made with the set during swaps with other demonstrators, I decided to give a "first day" card a try. Here's the result:
I used my Stampin' Write Markers to ink the images so that I could get the three different colored apples, leaves and stems. This is such a great way to incorporate more than one color on a single stamped image! It's as simple as coloring the images with the markers then "huffing" on the stamp to re-moisten the ink. Depending on the complexity of your color scheme it can be a little time-consuming so leave yourself a few extra minutes to complete the project.Supplies and dimensions are listed below.
Thanks for stopping by O-Ink! and happy stamping!

Blissful Bride Card
Only nine days left to order from the Summer Mini-Catalog!
Blissful Bride is one of my favorite sets from the Summer Mini-Catalog. I made this card with it this weekend:
It's a little hard to see in the picture, but in person it's beautiful! It's a Whisper White and Bashful Blue color scheme embellished with pearls. I used a Blender Pen with Bashful Blue ink to highlight the draping of the wedding dress. There's also a versatile flower bouquet in this set as well as a gorgeous cake that could be used for birthdays too. Check it out and place your Summer Mini-Catalog order by August 31st!
Here is the supply list:

Bashful Blue Card Stock - 105120, $6.95
Soft Subtles Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack - 117152, $19.95

Color Challenge - Santa Fe #1
I have a tendency to find four or five colors I love and ignore the other forty gorgeous colors available through Stampin' Up!. Well no more, says I! As a result of that declaration I've decided to do a weekly color challenge. Oh, and I'm not planning on doing these alone (hint, hint). :0)
This week's challenge comes from Santa Fe, New Mexico, where my sister recently got married. I took a ton of beautiful, color-rich pictures so it's likely this won't be the last time we have a Santa Fe Color Challenge.
Here's the picture I took of the sign for the Bed & Breakfast, Hacienda Dona Andrea de Santa Fe, where we stayed (most comfortable beds ever!) and the location of the ceremony (so picturesque!):
See all of those wonderful colors?!
Here's my result...and this was difficult for me. First of all, I wouldn't have put these four colors together, and I usually like to work with just three colors instead of four (yes, I can be kind of picky). But I'm so happy with how it turned out!
I used Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait, Peach Parfait Patterns Designer Series Paper, Pear Pizazz and Night of Navy. The stamp set, Watercolor Trio, is from the Summer Mini-Catalog (last day to order is August 31st). I've fallen in love with this stamp set - this one is actually my mom's, but I had to borrow it when it arrived here this afternoon. Now I'm convinced I need one of my own!
If you have questions or would like to order the supplies for this project, email me at love22stamp@gmail.com or shop online here.
Now it's your turn! Email me your creations for this color challenge, and I'll post them next Wednesday. One lucky challenger will win a special treat.
Have a great day!
